About the role:
Meatable is transitioning from R&D to production, and regulatory approval is key to bringing our cultivated meat to market. We are seeking an experienced Head of Regulatory Affairs to lead our regulatory strategy, guide quality and food safety, and ensure compliance once we launch our products globally. You will have a pivotal role in setting the standards for food safety and quality, working together with regulatory bodies, policymakers, and industry leaders.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of regulatory strategy for novel food procedures and other regulatory approvals, with focus on the EU, US, Canada and Asia.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like R&D, production, and legal to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
- Prepare, review, and submit regulatory documentation, ensuring all legal and quality requirements are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor global regulatory trends and provide strategic advice on market entry strategies.
Qualifications:
- Scientific leader with a Master’s or PhD in Toxicology (preferably), Biotechnology, (Molecular) Biology, (Organic/Bio) Chemistry, or a related field.
- A regulatory expert with 10+ years of hands-on experience in regulatory approval processes, including novel food procedures approvals globally.
- Comprehensive expertise in food regulatory processes, including dossier preparation, submission, and influencing policymakers.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage with a wide range of stakeholder groups, from technical teams to senior policymakers.
