With our technology, scalable cell-based meat production is becoming a reality.

About the role
As our Head of Tissue Engineering, you will lead the team that drives our product development, optimizing the taste and texture of our meats.
You will be working in a very interdisciplinary field that combines tissue engineering (co-culturing of muscle and fat cells, tissue stimulation), biomaterials (testing and developing scaffolds and vascularization methods) and biology (e.g., response of cells and tissues to materials).
The success of the role will be defined by your ability to bring together the knowledge, expertise and brainpower of our scientists and our group of world-class scientific advisors. Within the team we have significant muscle and fat differentiation, tissue cultivator engineering, muscle functioning and scaffold design expertise in-house.
You will split your time between liaising with our experts, designing experiments, doing hands-on lab work and leading the tissue engineering team.
Master or PhD in Biomaterials, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Tissue engineering, or related field and at least 5+ years working experience, either in academia or business
Significant experience working with mammalian cells in 3D environments for soft tissue, ideally muscle and fat
Excellent planning, communication and interpersonal skills
